Hiša Denk is a restaurant with rooms that has held a Michelin star since the first Michelin Guide Slovenia in 2020: chef Gregor Vračko cooks in Zgornja Kungota, among the vineyards north of Maribor, Slovenia – hisadenk.si.

Getting there

Hiša Denk is in Zgornja Kungota, about 15 minutes by car north of Maribor and close to the Austrian border. From Lisbon you fly to one of four airports and drive on:

  • Graz, Austria – about 50 km, 45 minutes by car: the closest
  • Zagreb, Croatia – about 140 km, 1 h 40
  • Ljubljana – about 160 km, 1 h 45
  • Vienna – about 260 km, 2 h 45

By car, approximate distances to Hiša Denk: Vienna 250 km, Munich 470 km, Rome 900 km, Paris 1,300 km, Lisbon 2,900 km.

Rules in short

  1. Open to anyone aged 18 or older. One entry per person; repeat entries with the same e-mail are not counted.
  2. Entries are accepted until 31 December 2026. The winner is drawn at random on 10 January 2027 and notified by e-mail within seven days. If the winner does not reply within 14 days, a new winner is drawn.
  3. The prize is one Menu 3 for two people and one night in a Deluxe room with breakfast at Hiša Denk, worth €390. It is booked directly with Hiša Denk subject to availability, is valid until 31 December 2027, cannot be transferred and has no cash alternative. Travel is not included.
  4. Organiser: Smartomate d.o.o., Pernica 88, 2231 Pernica, Slovenia. Employees of the organiser and of Hiša Denk cannot take part. Hiša Denk provides the prize and is not otherwise involved in the draw.
